DWD FlugWetter 2.5.1

This application is an extension of the pc_met Internet Service offered by the Deutscher Wetterdienst and, in its latest iteration, encompasses various sections of its extensive product lineup:

• Current aviation weather summaries for regions in Germany (available only in German)
• GAFOR Germany displayed on a map
• METAR and TAF reports including single reports, proximity search, and routing details
• Meteograms for aerodromes across Europe, categorized as IFR, VFR, and for gliding purposes
• Cross Sections designed for IFR, VFR, and gliding flights within Europe
• Weather warnings consisting of:
  • Aerodrome weather warnings for selected airports in Germany
  • GAFOR area warnings providing aviation weather alerts within GAFOR zones in Germany
  • SIGMET alerts signaling potentially hazardous weather phenomena in the lower and upper Flight Information Regions (FIR/UIR) across Germany
• Low Level SWC information specific to Germany
• High-resolution RADAR data displaying a composite map of Europe
• Lightning information covering Europe
• Satellite imagery for Europe
• Real-time weather observations represented on a map (featuring visibility, ceiling, wind speed, and weather conditions)
• A three-day forecast report tailored to areas within Germany (available only in German)
• Forecast models from WAWFOR (World Aviation Weather Forecast) based on the DWD ICON-EU forecast model detailing the European region with a forecast window of up to +48 hours. The map offers detailed parameters such as:
  • Significant weather patterns
  • Cloud cover information
  • Surface pressure details
  • Surface wind speed and gusts data
  • Precipitation probabilities
  • Temperature recordings at surface and upper levels
  • Geopotential data
  • Upper-level wind characteristics
